Formsprag FSR Series Clutches

Eight FSR Series sleeve-bearing clutch models are available with torque ratings from 40 lb.ft. (55 Nm) to 1,800 lb.ft. (2448 Nm). Units are suitable for general purpose overrunning, indexing and backstopping applications.

All FSR models incorporate Formchrome® sprags for reliable, long-life performance. Oil lubricated models have a Buna-N oil seal at each end which provides positive lubricant containment. The seals can be removed for free lubricant flow if clutch is operated in an oil bath. Shafts must extend through the full length of the clutch and must be held to recommended limits because the sleeve bearing in the outer race rides on the shaft.

Popular FSR clutches can be found hard at work in a wide range of applications, including indexing roll feed drives, industrial sewing machines, printing presses, ink roller drives and candy, bakery and dairy processing lines.
